What inspired you to pursue a healthcare career?
I decided I wanted to be a physician assistant (PA) after my experience with my PA when I tore my ACL (Anterior Cruciate Ligament) at the age of 13. He lightened a time that was the most disappointing incident of my young life by how valued I felt by his attentiveness and devotion to my recovery. I also wish to be a source of light in the midst of people鈥檚 hardships.
Why did you decide to attend 雏鸟视频?:
I am the first person in my family to pursue a healthcare degree. Growing up in the Chicagoland area and having an early interest in healthcare, I looked to my healthcare providers for guidance. One of the providers I saw was a PA who attended 雏鸟视频 and had nothing but amazing things to say about the program.
I was also searching for a school that is devoted to diversity, equity, and inclusion. I appreciate how involved 雏鸟视频 is in the community. Additionally, I learn best by understanding the 鈥渨hy鈥 behind medicine. I was impressed with 雏鸟视频鈥檚 high load of basic science courses.
What about a 雏鸟视频 education do you want to carry forward in your career?
I wish to carry a lifelong passion for learning into my career. As medicine is ever evolving, it is imperative to embrace the newest research and treatment methods. 雏鸟视频 is teaching me to effectively and efficiently explore research and literature, preparing me to continue my education even when I am no longer a student.
