Admissions - Precision Medicine Certificate (Online)

The Post-Graduate Certificate is available as either a dual track program, completed in conjunction with another ³ûÄñÊÓƵ healthcare degree, or as a stand-alone Post-Graduate Certificate.

How to Apply

The Precision Medicine Post-Graduate Certificate is available as a dual track program, completed in conjunction with another ³ûÄñÊÓƵ healthcare degree or as a stand-alone Post-Graduate Certificate.

Students wishing to complete the dual track program can apply as currently enrolled ³ûÄñÊÓƵ students or as students who have recently been accepted to another professional program at ³ûÄñÊÓƵ. On your student portal, use the CGS Dual Application link, which allows you to transfer your existing health professions application to the Precision Medicine Program for admissions consideration.

Professionals wishing to the complete the Precision Medicine Post-Graduate Certificate who are not currently admitted to or enrolled in another ³ûÄñÊÓƵ degree program can apply directly to the stand-alone Post-Graduate Certificate Program.

All applicants will be required to submit a short personal statement indicating how the Post-Graduate Certificate in Precision Medicine fits into their professional goals. You will see the instructions for the personal statement while making your application. 

Admissions Requirements

Admissions decisions are made on a rolling basis after the application opens on November 1st. Students applying to the dual track program are advised to complete their application files as early as possible, but no later than April 15, to ensure timely consideration. Students applying to the stand-alone program must submit their applications no later than May 1. 
 

Dual Track Applicants

To be considered for admission to the Post-Graduate Certificate in Precision Medicine Program, applicants must submit the following documented evidence:

  1. A minimum cumulative GPA of 2.75, and acceptance to a ³ûÄñÊÓƵ primary degree program.
  2. A completed ³ûÄñÊÓƵ application for the Precision Medicine Program.
  3. For current ³ûÄñÊÓƵ students whose primary degree program has already started, a letter of support must be provided from the Dean for their primary degree. This letter is automatically requested by the online application system.
  4. Passage of the ³ûÄñÊÓƵ criminal background check.

Stand Alone Applicants

To be considered for admission to the PGCert in Precision Medicine Program, applicants must submit the following documented evidence:

  1. A minimum cumulative GPA of 2.75.
  2. A graduate level healthcare or biomedical/biological sciences degree from an accredited institution (if not already awarded, must be completed prior to matriculation).
  3. A completed ³ûÄñÊÓƵ application for the Precision Medicine Program.
  4. Passage of the ³ûÄñÊÓƵ criminal background check.
