State Authorization
Arizona and Illinois are members of the (NC-SARA), and ³ûÄñÊÓƵ is an approved SARA institution.
³ûÄñÊÓƵ (MWU) complies with the state authorization rule by monitoring state authorization requirements in each state. MWU participates in the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements (NC-SARA). NC-SARA provides a voluntary, regional approach to state oversight of postsecondary distance education and compliance. MWU offers several degree programs on its campus in Illinois and Arizona that may involve clinical rotations for credit in other states. The curriculum for each of these programs meets national accreditation requirements and is designed to meet graduate educational requirements for licensure in every state.
State Relocation Notice
Students who relocate while enrolled may be unable to complete their studies if they are moving to a country or state where MWU is not currently authorized to offer that particular program. Prospective students should contact their Admissions Counselor to discuss how relocation could alter their eligibility, while current students should contact their College Dean’s Office if they are considering relocating during their course of study.
Since MWU must be authorized/approved to offer programs in each state, there may be consequences for applicants and students who relocate to a state or country where the institution does not meet state requirements or has yet to be approved. There are also program limitations even in states where the university is authorized/approved; for states with an authorized/approved status, applicants/students may not be able to apply, continue, or change to a particular program, as not all programs may be approved by a state licensing authority. In these cases, these programs cannot be offered to students residing in that state.
State-regulated Refund Policies for Online/Distance Education programs
Tuition refunds for students enrolled in online programs who reside in certain states will be issued in accordance with the policies required by the laws and regulations of those states. However, if MWU’s standard Refund Policy is more beneficial to those students, the University will follow its standard Refund Policy. Information regarding withdrawal and the University’s refund policy is available on the Financial Aid Policies page.
Complaint Resolution
³ûÄñÊÓƵ will take appropriate action to seek resolution when a student complaint is brought to our attention. Students wishing to file a complaint are encouraged to first utilize the University’s internal complaint policies. Please refer to the Student Complaint Procedures page for further information.
However, if an issue cannot be resolved internally, information for accreditors and state regulators is available on the Academics Disclosure page.
For information on program accreditation, please visit the Accreditation page.
Programs Leading to Professional Licensure
MWU publicly discloses the state and territory authorization status for each educational program designed to meet the education requirements for a specific professional licensure or certification required for employment in an occupation, and information about whether the program completion would meet those requirements in a state or territory. These public disclosure requirements apply to all programs, regardless of its modality - on-campus, online or hybrid.
MWU encourages all current and prospective students to contact the applicable professional licensure/certification boards in their respective states for additional information regarding professional licensure/certification requirements. In addition, MWU desires to work with students internally to address any complaints. However, if an issue cannot be resolved internally, information for accreditors and state regulators is available on the Academics Disclosure page.
For information on program accreditation, please visit the Accreditation page.
